EyeLevel BQE was born in 2008 as an artist-run project that seeks to offer a forum in the Art and Design fields. Offering an effective documentation of the work we produce, constantly reaching out to find ways of bringing the community closer to the things we see, believe in and do.

If we were to stay at Hotel 718, I would really enjoy to stay at the room or walk through the hallways where Isabelle Garbani work were to live.(2)
Isabelle Garbani : ARTIST STATEMENTI stand on the same spot on the subway platform every evening, next to the second trash can, waiting for the train. I want to be lined up exactly with the exit stairs when the train eventually pulls into my stop. I watch the express trains go by through the gap in the two rusted pillars. I am hot and exhausted. I go home and put on paper what it was like to stand on that spot at that moment in June of 2006 in Brooklyn, New York. “24 Hours in the Subway” was born that day. Each hour of the day has a drawing and a mood. It is a time line framed by birth and death, traveling through childhood, adolescence, maturity, decline. It is a series describing the possibilities of life in an American city in the 21st century. It is a series about potentials, missed opportunities, fear, accidents, attempts at goodness, symmetry, purity, hope, despair.
